Answered Prayers

Many prayers have been answered. Today Lainie seems better. Although we are still having trouble communicating with the clinic, we found another pediatric nurse who is here adopting who listened had her stethoscope and listened to Lainie's lungs. She didn't think it was serious at all. She did say that her murmur is still pronounced, but we already knew that. I also got to talk to Pam Martin from home. Just hearing her calming voice made me rest easier. So, we are much more relaxed now. She will still have one more shot tomorrow morning. She passed the physical exam that is required for us to leave. PRAISE THE LORD. Lilly also left the hospital to go to the exam and she was also given permission to leave with documented noncontagious illness. The Bryants are very relieved that they are going to be back to a US hospital on time. Thank you for your prayers. God has been so good to put the right people in our path who could ease our mind and give us good direction. Although I would have chosen to make this trip without Lainie getting sick, I would do it a million times over for this sweet precious child. We are in the White Swan Hotel. This is the last stop for all families who are adopting children from anywhere in the country of China. The breakfast room was full this morning with at least 100 American families and their newly adopted Chinese babies. I could hardly eat because of the golf ball size lump in my throat. I know what a leap of faith this journey was for us and as I looked at all those families who also answered God's call and took that same leap, I was overwhelmed by his goodness. He calls these families so that he can use them to rescue his children who have been cast aside by our mixed up world. I just thought about how He must be looking down on that breakfast room and smiling at His precious children. This morning during my quiet time I turned to Psalm 139 - my favorite verse. It was so appropriate for the past few days.

Lord, You have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise.
You perceive me thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down.
You are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely.
You hem me in - behind and before .
You have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your spirit ?
Where can I flee from your presence ?
If I go up to the heavens you are there;
If I make my bed in the depths you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the FAR SIDE OF THE SEA,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold fast. (and man oh man have I been squeezing His hand these last few days )

Thank you for those who have prayed for strength and peace for us. He has sent it to us in so many ways. So from now until Thursday morning we just wait for the Visa and then WE ARE OUT OF HERE!!!
Waiting on the Medical Exam

Just for Sherry F and Wendy Lucas.......

Drawing a crowd every where we go. These teenagers were really taken by her. They took a million pictures with their camera phones.

Being a big girl at the medical exam. They said she weighs 20 pounds.

I love my mamaw because she takes me wherever I want to go...... spoiled already !!!

Jennifer, I spent a whole day with Psalm 139 the first day of my retreat here. No coincidence, huh? It's only 4:00 a.m. here but when I woke up prematurely I just had a feeling there was good news on your blog.

Experiences such as yours serve to strengthen our faith, don't they? It's as if God in His searching of our heart discovers the weak spots for and then uses experiences to make us strong.

Love and blessings.

What a mighty and awesome God we serve. Once again he supplies our needs. We have been in constant prayer for you all and we will continue to do so. I know in my heart and soul that the heart murmur will be ok as well because God has supplied and answered all our needs so far for Lainie. God bless you all and I thank you for your testimony of faith and for the life witness you bear for us.

I tried to remember your blog address over the weekend, then I finally went to your Dad's blog to get your address..computers. I could not wait until Monday morning to see what had been happening. So this morning I read it before coming to work. I was praying for you and the Bryants in the shower when God spoke the words of Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God....He has had all things worked out long before we even knew what was going to happen. This journey has been wonderful and I am so happy to have gotten to walk it with you. I can't wait until you all get home. I love you... Michelle

Hey Bobby, Jen, Lainie & Mom,
God is SO GOOD! All the time, not just some of the time. We've been praying for Lainie & Lily's health, so they both can come home with their mommy's & daddy's. God always knows best, and wants the well being for His children. I really hate that we can't be at the airport when you guys get home, but I guess we had better get Timothy graduated from Seminary! I guess we will see you all on Friday afternoon. I know this is a little early, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jennifer on Thurs. the 24th. I know the best present of all is to come home to all who love you dearly! We miss you all, and pray for safety the next couple of days and safe travel on Thursday.

MOM, Dad is like a whipped puppy! I went grocery shopping on Saturday evening, and dad was there getting milk, cereal & (I bet you can guess) APPLES! We're taking good care of him, but he can't wait until you get home. He said he didn't want you to ever go away this long again (without him)!

With much love,
Tammy, Trent & Jeremy

What beautiful words to read. Yeah! And, as you can understand Psalms 139 has been my favorite as well over the last (almost) 10 years. It helps my spirit to know that God does not just "allow" children to be born, but the HE knits them together. He creates them and knows them (and us)intimately.

Lainie gets cuter with every picture. How can that be?!
Love to you all!!

It's nearly midnight here... 14 hours ago I jumped up out of bed and went to read the blog. To see that both of the girls were improving has just made my day... Praise God!! It's been a long time since I have truly "prayed without ceasing" during a day, but yesterday was a day where thoughts of Lainie, Lilly and all of you never left me. I will continue to pray for improvement and encouragement. Only 2 more days until you leave!!

I can't wait to see all of you on Thursday!! What a joy it will be to have you back home.

I LOVE ALL of YOU so much!!

So very glad to hear Lainie and Lilly are both doing better and will be able to come home on schedule! Eliana also had a terrible cold when we were in Guangzhou. We had to take her to the hotel doctor too and what they gave her did help but I was so glad to get home to a doctor I could understand. I know you all are ready as well. Have a blessed day!
