We have our itinerary for the trip, airline tickets are purchased, consulate appointment is made and I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO!!!
The good news is that The Bryant Family did receive their Travel Approval just in the nick of time and they will be traveling to China too. It was too late for them to be on our flight so they will be traveling from Columbia to Washington and then to Beijing. We are just so glad that we are going to be there together! Thank you for your prayers. They were originally told when they got TA that they could not get a consulate appointment in China until May 29. Our wonderful CWA facilitator in China really went to bat for them and got them added to the list for the same day we have our appointment. Yeah!
Here's our trip itinerary..... We are really going to CHINA!
May 11 - Fly from Charlotte to Chicago and then to Beijing. We will be staying at the Wangfujing Grand Hotel
May 12 - Arrive in Beijing (We are loosing a day due to the time difference - they are 12 hours ahead) There are five families in our travel group we will all be meeting in Beijing.
May 13 - Sightseeing the Forbidden City and THE GREAT WALL
May 14 - Fly to Changsha at 11:10am (pm here) Arrive in Changsha at 1:35pm (am here). Only the Bryant family will be traveling this leg of the trip with us. The other families will be going their separate ways to the provinces where there children are located. We will be staying at the Hua Tian Hotel. Lainie will be brought to Changsha by the orphanage director and nannies. It will be at least four hours of traveling for her. I'm not sure what time we will be meeting her. It should be shortly after we arrive in Changsha. I've heard in the past that the babies are actually there waiting for you when you get to Changsha. Anyway, by the time you wake up on May 14 - She will be with us! ( I think I'm doing the time right here).
May 15 - Registration and Notarization (translated: More Paper Work for Bobby and Jen)
May 16 - 19 - Sightseeing in Changsha
May 20 - Legal documents finalized in Changsha. Fly from Changsha to Guangzhou. Arrive in Changzhou at 12:50pm. Stay in The White Swan Hotel.
May 21 - Dr.'s appointment for Lainie (this is standard for all babies before they leave the country)
May 22 - Visa appointment at 9:00 am
May 23 - Swearing in ceremony at the consulate - get Lainie's visa
May 24 - LEAVE FOR HOME ! Fly from Gaungzhou to Hong Kong at 8:30am. Arrive in Hong Kong at 9:30. Arrive in Charlotte, NC, USA at 6:40pm.
May 28 - Lainie's Dr. appointment with pediatrician
June 4 - Lainie's Dr. appointment with cardiologist
Join our family as we live out our lives to the fullest with God as our guide. It is crazy and it is chaos, but it is more abundant and full than we ever imagined!

How appropriate that you will meet Lainie the day after Mother's Day! Please know that many prayers will be going up for you guys as you travel. We can't wait to meet your little one!

I haven't commented again because honestly, I don't know what to say. I am amazed at how God has blessed Lainie and the Barbee bunch! She is a beautiful little girl and looks so happy already! I know one day she will come to understand how blessed she is to have such Godly parents. Trey, Will and Jillian will have her speaking soon and reading books, if I know Trey! Many hugs and prayers are sent your way! Can't wait to see you all!
