Packing......

This week I've been home for Spring Break so I made myself begin packing. I have a 7 page packing list that is helping me keep somewhat organized. I just don't know how I'm going to make it all fit! Everything you see in the above photo is for Lainie. I've got to somehow get all of that and mine and Bobby's stuff into two suitcases that weight 44 lbs each. Oh my! Bobby and I, well okay, mostly Bobby, will definitely be wearing the same thing over and over while we are there.
One of the most precious things we've packed is a baby blanket that was made by the Prayer Shawl Ministry of our church. These women knit or crochet prayer shawls for people in need. Last Sunday they presented us with a baby blanket for Lainie. I know that they and many others will be praying for this sweet baby. I have it hanging over the suitcase (click on photo to enlarge) so that it reminds me that God is in control of this adoption and of our trip. Every now and then, well okay, quite often, I get a little anxious thinking about it all. Knowing that people are praying and that the most important thing I'm taking with me is the love that God has given us for this baby, helps me to relax a little.

We are still waiting to see if The Bryant Family ( see Lilly's website ) will get their TA in time to travel with us on May 11. Hopefully it will come on Monday or Tuesday. We'd love to bring these girls home together if it is His will.

Thanks to all of you who are leaving your encouraging comments on the blog. We have been blessed with so many people to follow us on this journey. Please be sure to leave your name with the comment....

Please continue praying. Lainie has her cardiologist appointment on June 4. We are so anxious to get her there and see what is going on inside her little heart. We just love what Jillian said when we first told her about Lainie's special need: "Well, if she has a hole in her heart, she just needs us to fill it." So precious.....
