Meet our Mia

This is Yang Miao, our little Mia Carol. We decided to call her Mia in order to keep part of her Chinese name. Carol is my mom's middle name. She was born on January 3, 2003 in the Shaanxi Province of China. She is six and a half years old which makes her 1 year younger than Will and 3 years older than Lainie. She was on a waiting child list because she has repaired cleft lip and palate. We hope to travel to bring her home in early 2010.
I have struggled with what to write in this post. I've tried to get it done for several days now. I want to answer the how and why questions that many of you have, I want to tell the story of how this all came to be, I want to share with you that I am excited yet terrified, happy yet sad... So many things that just can't be expressed by mere words.
For now, you'll have to just enjoy the sweetness of Mia's picture. I'll try to figure out how to share my heart another day.
Jen

Congratulations again!

Mia is so lovely, and I can't wait to see her join your sweet family. I also can't wait to hear how you "found" this little treasure. And I so understand you feelings, as I am feeling the same way. :)

Jennifer,
She is so precious! I pray that your "paper pregnancy" will be quick and before long you will be with your sweet little one. (And I'll keep my fingers crossed that since we are so close in paperwork collection that we end up in Guanzhou together...)
