Tonight I Was There.....

I was not there the moment these two daughters of mine were born.  I was not there the moment they first smiled, or walked, or talked.

But tonight, I was there as they were born into the Kingdom of God.  I held their sweet little hands and listened to them pray and ask Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.  I was there the moment their names were recorded in Heaven.  I was there the moment their sins were forgiven.  I was there the moment they became true daughters of a father that never abandons, never leaves, never disappoints.

They have both been asking us questions for quite a while.  They've been asking their Sunday School teachers about how to become Christians as well.  Tonight, we read a sweet little book, "Would You Like To Know Jesus?" and afterwards, they were both ready.

It is an emotional night here.  As I think about all the ways that God moved in their little lives to bring them to this moment.  I am overwhelmed.  I am so grateful that I was there for this moment in time.  Thank you God.

I could never imagine my life without these girls in it. Now I will get to spend "forever" with them :) I love these girls! So blessed to have them in our family!

I was pondering recently the financial cost of adoption and how for just a moment, I would love to have some extra money to indulge in some "wordly pleasures" - shopping spree, cruise, etc. Then God hit me over the head with this thought. . .what we have done by adopting these children is making an eternal difference. God has used us as His vesselto make an eternal difference in the lives of our adopted children. After that, my brief coveting of wordly pleasures was over! I am so happy that you were there and that I will get to spend eternity in heaven with these 2 little ones!
